What I look for in a model!
Many times I have been asked what I look for in a women shoe and foot model. When I look at a women for shoe and foot modeling, whether it is an established model, or a new potential model, I look and seek an attractive pair of feet. Now I personally enjoy women's pretty feet, but I need more then a pair of pretty feet for shoe and foot modeling. Yes it is very important for the model to have attractive feet, well groomed, and mark free, as well as callus free with no bunions or bruises. Her feet must be well groomed and very soft and smooth in look and feel. No I do not touch the models feet, a few close up photos, and a good visual look will show me how the models feet have been conditioned, and how well she takes care of them. Feet that are not taken care of, will show neglect and abuse and will show so in photographs. Remember ladies, you are on your feet all day! They are the tires of your body and each every day and year they take abuse. Taking good care of your feet is a must, and is also a very healthy concept for your feet.
There are many women who have contacted me thinking they have very pretty feet and think they are going to start making money with their pretty feet. They will show me photos of their feet that really never show the entire foot for reviews. Many think polished toes and a pair of 5" high heeled shoes will start their career. So many of these women have feet that are not is such good condition or never show any photos of their entire foot. Ladies, when submitting photos, show your feet from every angle in shoes and out of shoes. Use a variety of poses that show good angles and how well your foot looks. Make sure your photos are clear an well lighted, and please make sure you show some close ups, but do not have the camera right on top of your feet when taking the photos.
What I am going to look for is an attractive pair of feet, feet that look good in a shoe and out of a shoe. I also want to see your feet in a flat shoe, this allows me to see your foot form in the flat mode. A foot has to be eye catching, attractive in form, and look as well as articulate in look. In the women's shoe business, the majority of shoes are designed for the flattering of their and to the women's wardrobe and her legs. Many of these shoes are designed to flatter your feet, create a nice look, and sometimes a very sexy look. Try to remember this, the shoe will compliment the feet and the feet will compliment the shoe. So shoe design will try to catch some area of the foot, the articulate area of the foot. Some women have very attractive feet, they take great care of their feet, and so many shoe styles and designs will feature the feet giving beautiful well groomed feet an opportunity to be viewed.
So I look for good form, smooth and soft in appearance as well as eye catching. The foot does not have to be the most beautiful of all feet, it just must be well formed, in great condition with nice toe form and shape. Remember this, many women with average looking foot form can be a shoe and foot model, the foot just must be in great condition, look appealing in shoes, and have a look to them. I always wanted to model but never really had the chance or the time. Colleen, who models here is a friend of mine. It is pretty well self explained. A shoe and foot model is a person that models shoes and foot wear products for promotional advertisement purposes and other various assignments.
What does it take:
As a shoe and foot model you must have attractive feet and your feet must be well groomed. Your feet must be scar free and no bunions
or calluses can be accepted. Your feet must have nice form and your foot size should be in proportion to your body. Nice high arches are a plus and very nice formed toes are a must. Very round heels and a nice slope to your instep are also great assets.

Unless you are a very fortunate one and are able to capture a lucrative contract, you will not get rich doing shoe and foot modeling.
